An announcement was made recently that Las Vegas Sands would pursue the development of a multi-billion-dollar casino, hospitality and entertainment project at the Nassau Coliseum site (also called the Hub). The company entered into agreements to purchase the long-term lease of the site.

Many residents have concerns and questions regarding the proposal and its potential impact on the Garden City community. The Property Owners Associations (POAs) are working to gather additional information for residents and trying to set-up a series of Town Hall meetings with experts and elected officials, so that we can all hear more about the proposal.
