Eligibility Criteria


Before you start your application, check that you meet these qualifications:


Residency


Applicants must live in the Western Section of Garden City within these boundaries:


  • North: Main Line of the LIRR

  • East: West side of Tanners Pond and Edgemere Roads

  • South: Cambridge Avenue

  • West: Jefferson Street


If your home is located within these limits, you are eligible to apply.


Parental Membership


A parent must have been a dues-paying member of the WPOA for at least three years, including the year of application. This requirement helps ensure a strong community connection among scholarship recipients.


Community Involvement & Service


Demonstrate your active participation in the Garden City community through various activities, including school clubs, sports, volunteering, or other initiatives.
